I could not locate an official birth record for Joseph, but his baptismal record of 7 October 1837 at Ste. Madeleine Parish in Rigaud, Vaudreuil QC declared his parents as "Joseph Luversant, a cultivateur at Hawkesbury" and "Rose Lefebvre," and his godparents as "Arsene Luversant" (godfather) and "Emelie Cadieux" (godmother).
