Grandfather Ancestral Links between Archbishop Louise-Philippe Adelard Langevin and Joseph Langevin families?

 I will continue my search by looking at the previous generation, the grandfathers, of Archbishop Louise-Philippe Adelard Langevin and Joseph Langevin:

Archbishop Louise-Philippe Adelard Langevin's grandfather, Etienne Langevin, was born on
October 24, 1784, in Varennes, Quebec. Etienne married Charlotte Provost on February 29, 1808, in his hometown where he worked as a notary. They had five children during their marriage (see below). He died on September 29, 1855, in Varennes, Quebec, at the age of 70, and was buried there.

1. Libore Langevin was born on Feb. 14,1809 at Varennes, Quebec, and baptized the following day at Ste. Anne's church. I could find no other records regarding Libore.

2. Edouard Louis Langevin, born Oct. 15, 1810 in Varennes, Quebec, wed Louise Girard (parents Amable Girard and Marie-Josephte Daunais) on Feb. 6, 1844 in Varennes, Quebec (Louise's brother, Marc, was the Manitoba Premier in 1874 and later became a Canadian senator). Louise and Edouard had 9 children:

    a. Marie Louise Langevin, born 1845, wed Joseph Cleophas Lareault on Feb. 18,1868, and they had three children before Joseph died in 1873 (see below). After Louise's husband died, she lived with her brother Arthur in St. Constant, Laprairie, Quebec until she died on Jan. 23, 1924.

        (i) Alexina (1869–1871).

        (ii) Cleophas born Jul. 17, 1870, wed Emelia Provost in 1891 in Repentigny, Quebec, and had eight children:
    1. Herve was born July 1896. His 1918 military draft record describes Herve as a single man of 5' 5" with a fresh complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair with two disfigured feet.
    2. Eva (1898–1919)
    3. Fleur Ange was born Oct. 1899, and according to the 1931 Canada Census, he was single, living at home, and working as a couturiere (dressmaker) at Ateliers de Robes in Montreal with an annual income of $175.
    4. Eugene - born Nov. 1900 and died May 11, 1912 in Repentigny, Quebec.
    5. Marie Antoinette - born Jun. 1904 and died Apr.19,1912, in Repentigny, Quebec.
    6. Roland - born Jan. 1908 and recorded as single, living at home, and working as a typographer in the 1931 Canada Census.
    7. Joseph Edgar (May 1909–Sep 1909).
    8. Joseph Leo Raymond (Feb 1915–Apr 1915).
        (iii) Marie Alexina (1872–1876).

    b. Eliza Langevin was born Nov.1, 1847 in Varennes, Quebec, and wed Louis Alexandre Favreau on Oct. 17, 1865 in Varennes, Quebec. They had 10 children:

        (i) Louis Philippe, born Mar. 22, 1867 in St. Constant, Quebec, wed Marie Marguerite Clemetine Gauthier on Oct. 17, 1887 in Montreal, Quebec. Louis worked as a furrier, currier and beltmaker. They had one child, Melina, who was born on Jun. 25, 1890 and died in 1953 in Montreal, Quebec.

        (ii) Marie Regina, born May 13, 1870 in Saint-Jean-sur- Richelieu, wed Francois Xavier Artheme Provost on Nov. 23, 1896. I could find no other records.

        (iii) Marie Louise, born Mar. 11, 1872 and baptized at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec on the same day. She died before 1881.

        (iv) Joseph Alexandre Edward Zephirin was born on Feb. 7, 1875. He contracted pleurisy at age 17. He married Marie Dewitt in 1902 when he was 27. He was working as a clerk in Montreal when he signed up to join the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on Sep. 21, 1914, according to Canada, World War 1 CEF Personnel Files, 1914-1918. He had served one year on the Special Services R.C.R. He's described as 5' 6" with a dark complexion, brown eyes and dark brown hair. He served in the 65th Regiment posted in England and later in the 14th Battalion. Details are few but his medical records claim that he was gassed on April 1915 with no ill effects and had chronic emphysema. He returned to Canada in January 1919 and was discharged from service in March. Alexandre never married and died on Mar. 19,1949 in Montreal. He's buried at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.

        (v) Maria, born Apr. 10, 1877, wed chauffeur (earning $3.60/hr) Francois Napolean Lessard in August 1898. In 1911, Francois is an engineer at a Montreal factory, earning $800/year (1911 Canada Census) while Maria is a moulder at a foundry, earning $750/year. Ten years later, Francois is earning $1440/year while Maria is no longer working. There are no children recorded in any of the census records. Maria died at age 59 in 1936 and Francois died at age 72 in 1943.

        (vi) Joseph born in 1879 at Napierville, Quebec and died on Oct. 17, 1885 in Montreal, Quebec.

        (vii) Maria Alida Gaziella born on Sep. 26, 1880 and died on the same day as Joseph in 1885.

        (viii) Eva, born Feb. 24,1883, wed charretier (wagon driver, earning about $440/yr) Joseph Ferdinand Adrien Vinet in 1907. They had nine children:

            Eva died in 1957 and her husband died in 1949.

        (ix) Joseph Clement Laurenzo, born in Montreal in 1886 and died on May 18, 1961. I could find no records describing details about his life.

        (x) Joseph Ulderic Maximillan, born on Jun. 21, 1889 in Montreal, wed Marie Alberta Lafontaine on May 24, 1910. In the 1921 Canada Census, Ulderic is employed in a distillation industry in Montreal, earning $1244/year (common distilleries at this time were rye and scotch makers, Seagrams and Hiram Walker). I couldn't find any records after 1921, except for the death records - Ulderic died in 1964 and his wife died in 1957.

    d. Arthur Langevin 1852 died in 1912

    e. Bibiane Langevin 1854 wed farmer Joseph Hubert Morin, owner of a 100-acre land grant in Quebec, in June 1878. They had 3 children:

            (i) Joseph Arthur was born on April 21, 1879 in Compton, Quebec, and left school after completing eighth grade. He wed Parmelia Betters on Jan. 15, 1901, in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Joseph's naturalization certificate notes that they have no children in 1921. At age 60, Joseph worked as a janitor at a high school in Bristol, Hartford, Connecticut and earned $1690 (1940 United States Federal Census). Joseph died in 1951, and Parmelia died four years later.

            (ii) Marie Adele was born in 1881, and wed hotelier Gregoire Lauzon in 1902. They had seven children beginning in 1903: Arthur, Gabrielle, Raoul, Armand, Gerard, and Raymond. Gregoire died in 1955, and Marie Adele lived until she was 82. They are buried in Lechanie, Terrebonne, Quebec.

            (iii) Marie Anne Emelie was baptized on Sep.30,1883, in Piopolis, Quebec and still living with her parents at age 17 in 1901, according to the 1901 Canada Census. I could not find any definitive records after 1901, even with AI assistance.

        Bibiane died at age 31 on Apr. 15, 1886 in Montreal. Her husband remarried (Marie Adeline Saucier) the following year, had two more children (Marie Jeanne Robertine Antoinette 1891–1988 and Philippe Oscar Edouard 1892–1957) and lived until age 56.

    f. Alphonsine Pamela Langevin, born 1857, wed post office clerk Francois Arthur Grenier on Sep. 15, 1879, and had one child, Arthur George (1880–1937), before Pamela died at age 29 on Dec. 1, 1886. She's buried in the Cimetiere Saint-Zenon in Piopolis, Estrie region, Quebec.

Pamela's husband remarried (Alice Fournier) in 1888, had 6 more children (Charles, Paul, Jean, Blanche, Irene and Lea), and worked as the postmaster at the Point St. Charles station. He died at age 81.

    g. Charles Toussaint Langevin, born Nov. 1, 1859 in St. Constant, Quebec, wed Philomene Bernard on Feb. 24, 1881 in Montreal and had 8 children before Philomene died in 1900:

        (i) Bernadette, born 1883, wed Joseph Aime Messier in 1905 and had 5 children over 10 years. She died on Nov. 23, 1944 in Montreal.

        (ii) Clara Valentine Philomene, born 1888, wed Auguste Baillargeon (working as an Agent and earning $1325 annually) in 1917 and had 2 daughters: Lucette and Marie Aimee
She died on Jul. 28, 1979 in Montreal.

        (iii) Marie Philomene Emilia, born May 18, 1890 and died Jul. 21, 1891 in Montreal.

        (iv) Joseph Bernard Hector, born on May 22, 1892, wed Marie Eudosie Cecile Sourdif in 1920. (THIS IS NOT SIR HECTOR LANGEVIN, ONE OF THE FATHERS OF CONFEDERATION). They had three sons and two daughters between 1921 and 1932. Hector died in 1966 and Cecile died in 1989 in Montreal.

        (v) Alexandre Bernard Louis, born in 1893, worked as an accountant, and wed Marie Celina Azilda Rose Tousignant in 1927. They had one child, Marie Martha Bernadette Denise born on May 15, 1928. Bernard died in 1963 and Rose died in 1977.

        (vi) Georges, born in 1897, worked as a traveling salesman, and wed Aurore ___. There are no further definitive records, except for his death in Val D'or, Quebec in 1970.

        (vii) Lucien, born in 1898, and wed Marie Anne Antoinette Germain in 1924. There are no children recorded for this couple. Both died young: Lucien was 42 and his wife was 34.

        (viii) Gussien was born on Aug. 16, 1897 in Montreal, Quebec. I could find no other records.

    h. Marie Claire Langevin, was born on Jun. 11, 1862 and wed Marcel Campbell (his second marriage) in 1888. They had 5 children:

        (i) Marie Louise Celadine, born 1889, wed Thomas Theoret on Jun. 25, 1917 and I could find no other records, except for their death records: Louise died in 1953 and Thomas died the following year.

        (ii) Joseph Marcel Arthur, born Jan. 21, 1891 and died on May 10, 1896 in St. Remi, Quebec.

        (iii) Marie Helene Lucienne Alice, born in 1893, wed ___ Chabot in 1931 and died on Dec. 5, 1972 in Montreal, Quebec.

        (iv) Marie Therese, born in 1898, and wed Joseph Omer Emery Harel, a well-known provincial and national bridge tournament winner, in 1928. They had two sons: Pierre and Claude; and a daughter, Therese Claire Denise. Omer died at age 51 while Therese died at age 89.

        (v) Joseph Lucien, born on Nov. 24, 1900, and died in 1902 in Napierville, Quebec.

    i. Alida Langevin, born on May 1, 1865, wed conductor Mederic Boyer on May 1, 1882 in Quebec. They had 7 children:

        (i) Corinne, born May 12, 1883, and in 1910, wed Ange Albert Angelbert Trudeau (HE IS THE SIXTH COUSIN OF PIERRE ELLIOTT TRUDEAU, PRIME MINISTER OF CANADA). Angelbert worked as a machinist in 1921 and earned $1410 that year. They had 5 children: Anita (born 1911), Paul, Florence, Claire, and Aurore. Angelbert died in 1945 and Corinne died in 1951 in Montreal, Quebec.

        (ii) Marie Louise Geraldine, born 1885, wed Henri Rene Gauthier in 1904. They had 13 children in 24 years (their first baby was born in 1907, and the last one was born in 1931). She died exhausted on Jan. 5, 1935, in Montreal, Quebec, at the age of 49.

        (iii) Alice, born in 1889, wed Victor Hamelin (owner of Victor Hamelin Ltd.) and had six children between 1914 and 1927.

        (iv) Toussaint Adelard

        (v) Berthe

        (vi) Marie Reine Florence

        (vii) Emilie

3. Angelique - born 1812

5. Apolline, born on Oct. 12, 1818 in Varennes, Quebec, wed Joseph Andre Pinsonneault on Feb. 24, 1840 in her hometown at Ste. Anne's church. I could find no records regarding children attributed to this marriage. Appolline died in 1892 in St. Remi village, Napierville, Quebec while Joseph died two years later.
