Did Archbishop Langevin's siblings marry into Joseph Langevin's family?
Let's take a quick, high-level look at the Archbishop Langevin's ancestors and compare them to Joseph Langevin's ancestors to see if there's an obvious link between the families.
Archbishop Louis Philippe Adelard Langevin, born to parents Francois Theophile Langevin and Marie Pamela Racicot, had six siblings:
1. Arthur Theophile Alphonse Langevin, born Oct. 29, 1848 in St. Isidore, Chaudiere Appalches, Quebec, wed Roseanne Patenaude in 1882. They had 10 children:
a. Marie Adrienne Berthe, born Jun. 27, 1884, never married, and lived with her parents until at least age 47. She died in St. Jeanne D'Arc Hospital in Montreal on Oct. 18, 1945.b. Joseph Arthur Gustave was born Sep. 19, 1885, and worked as a voyageur de courier for the Ministry of Affairs, likely conducting surveys, inspections, shipping, and hauling duties. He earned $1100 in 1911. He married Marie Anne Pare on Apr.16, 1917. According to the 1931 Canada Census, they had one child: Marie Rose Anne Gabrielle (1918–2005). Gustave's wife died in 1939 and there's no evidence that he remarried.Gustave died in 1966.
c. Rodolphe born Dec. 28,1886, worked as a notary in Montreal. He wed Oliva Lessard on Jun. 26, 1922, and opened his firm, Langevin and Lachapalle, the following year. They had four children: Joseph Rene Jean (1924–1925), Louise (1926–2015), Therese (1928–2008), and Joseph Arthur Rene (1931). Oliva died at age 59, and Rodolphe died at 88.

2. Leon Joseph Achille, born Aug. 17, 1850, wed Elodie Benjamin on Aug. 25, 1886 in Marieville, Quebec. They had several children:
a. Marie Theresa Elaine, born Jun. 1, 1888, wed Charles Edward Locas, a bookkeeper, in 1926. They had at least two children before Charles died in 1930.
b. Charles Auguste, born Dec. 9, 1889, wed Marie Josephine Berthe Gabrielle Pouliot on Dec. 5, 1920.

3. Charles Auguste Samuel was born Mar. 17, 1857, and died on Nov. 5, 1876, in Roussillon, Quebec, at the age of 19.
4. Cezaire Adelard Hermas was born on Jun. 26, 1859 and died Jul. 31, 1861 in Laprairie, Quebec.
5. Isidore Amedee was born on Aug. 12, 1860, and began working as a 3rd Class Clerk for the Montreal Post Office in 1889. He earned an average annual salary of $480 and died on May 2, 1919 (I could not locate any marriage records).
6. Adolphe Hermas Benjamin was born May 13, 1862, and became a priest. Here are some newspaper articles describing his life and death at age 60 in 1922:
7. Joseph Emile, born on Jun. 19, 1869, wed Rose Alma Houde when he was 34 years old and working as a Post Master. They resided in Ste. Rose, Manitoba and had four children:
a. Marie Louise (1905–1996)
b. Marie Elmina (1906–?)
c. Antoinette (1908–1955)
d. Blanche (1912–2000)
Based on this research, there are no obvious links between the ancestors of Archbishop Langevin and Joseph Langevin.
